Console Audit

Project Overview
The Console user experience was originally tailored for Bare Metal Servers, but as Equinix expands into computing, storage, networking, and built a cloud-like experience under the Equinix-as-a-Service (EaaS) umbrella, a more structured approach was essential. I played a key role in refining the Console user experience, ensuring it aligned with the evolving needs of EaaS products and services. This ongoing process aimed to meet users' changing expectations, fostering a seamless and intuitive experience across a broader range of offerings within the Equinix ecosystem.
Define
Prior to an in-depth UX audit of the Console experience in collaboration with the EIS UX team, I took responsibility for defining and establishing ownership categories for UX Papercuts, Workflow Improvements, and Out of Scope issues. This classification system allowed the team to quickly categorize their findings and take appropriate action. As a result, UX Papercut tickets were directly assigned to the UI team for resolution, while some critical findings that required stakeholder involvement evolved into full-scale projects. This structured approach streamlined the identification and resolution of issues, driving efficiency and ensuring alignment across teams.

Console Audit
As part of a team of five UX designers conducting an intensive Console audit, I took on the responsibility of overseeing and consulting with the team while also completing my own portion of the audit. This role allowed me to demonstrate a balanced skillset as both a leader guiding the team's efforts and an individual contributor delivering high-quality insights. My approach ensured the audit was thorough and efficient, fostering collaboration while maintaining focus on key user experience improvements.
