Billing Quote to Cash

Project Overview

Contributed to the Billing Quote to Cash (Q2C) platform, a key component of the Digital Services Business Unit (DSBU) that enables the monetization of Equinix's digital infrastructure services within the Equinix-as-a-Service (EaaS) framework. Billing Q2C facilitates local entity and local currency billing, providing a foundational pillar for a seamless local commerce experience. This service empowers customers to contract and transact with the local Seller of Record, addressing regulatory needs, avoiding international trade complexities, and ensuring tax compliance, all of which are critical for supporting global EaaS transactions.

KAUI Design

When Billing Q2C introduced local currency support for the five "green countries," a design update for KAUI, the internal bookkeeping portal, became necessary. With only an Excel sheet outlining a few scenarios, I quickly grasped the bookkeeping process and proposed the simplest, most efficient user experience. KAUI was a third-party tool customized to fit our specific needs, so I worked within the constraints of its pre-existing template. Despite these limitations, I focused on optimizing the user experience to ensure greater efficiency and ease of use, aligning the tool with the newly introduced features of Billing Q2C.

Enabling Local Entity & Currency

Contributed to the Billing Q2C feature enabling customers in five countries—referred to as "green countries"—to contract and purchase EaaS through local Equinix Sellers of Record. The implementation required frequent UX adjustments due to backend constraints and the evolving scope of the project. Close collaboration with technical teams was essential to adapt to these limitations, while constant communication with the legal team ensured that legal content was updated to reflect the changes in scope. This ongoing process demonstrated my ability to navigate complex, shifting requirements and deliver a seamless user experience.
