This project showcases my ability to collaborate not only with the internal product trio but also with teams from another company, highlighting strong cross-organizational teamwork. It also demonstrates a broad UX skill set, including designing a seamless handheld experience, implementing a phased design approach, and proactively proposing future integration opportunities to align with the company’s broader vision and strategic goals.
Handheld Experience
During the Early Access phase of the project, the scope of the traditional UI gradually diminished, ultimately shifting to a fully hand-held approach with no interface. Having been involved in the project from the outset, I developed a deep understanding of its evolving scope and limitations. Leveraging this knowledge, I stepped up to define the white glove motion, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey despite the absence of a conventional UI. This effort demonstrated how UX can extend beyond interface design, enabling the product team to deliver an exceptional customer experience during the early stages of product development.
Phased Release
As a joint project involving two companies, early alignment on a phased approach was critical to success. To facilitate this, I created a visual roadmap that integrated requirements from both organizations, ensuring clear communication and mutual agreement. This roadmap served as a central reference point, streamlining collaboration and fostering alignment throughout the project's initial stages.
Concept Design for Future VMC-E
While the phased roadmap for the project was planned only up to the first release of General Access, I proactively proposed enhancements for the post-General Access user experience. These suggestions showcased how the project could evolve to integrate seamlessly into the broader vision of the company's portfolio. By thinking beyond the immediate scope, I highlighted opportunities for long-term growth and alignment with strategic objectives, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to UX design.
